Just wanted to share some info about the Magnaflow part # 15315. I just installed this on my 2014 double cab. Do not attempt to install this yourself unless you can weld. Number 1....The clamps do not hold the muffler. After tightening both clamps, I could still easily spin the muffler with my hands. Had to put a weld on both sides. Number 2...The bracket that holds the tailpipe assembly, facing 90 degrees the wrong way. Had to cut the bracket off the stock exhaust and weld it on the new one. After everything was done though....pretty happy with it.

I love my magnaflow. I got the exhaust routed around the transfer case. I had them dump the exhaust with a turn down instead of sticking out the side.

Because I rerouted the transfer case skid is flat.

Just installed the Magnaflow ORP version (17115) and I am luvin it! I debated for a month-read the reviews-listened to sound clips, none of which really did any of the MF styles justice. I use to have a new 68 Chevy Nova with a 327/325, so I like it 'reasonably' loud. But this is a nice mellow rumble especially around 2500-3000. Even downshifting there's no 'farting' or tin can dragging down the street sound. The ORP is freakin awesome-perfect! Part of the low freq rumble is from where it dumps out before the axle I suspect, but it's nothing I can't live with on the highway. For a V6 this is the way to go! Better yet true duals!

Can anyone explain the difference between the 15315 and the 17115 that would explain the 300 dollar difference in price?

I have the 15315. Watch out tho....when I got mine I had to cut off the support that's right next to the tip, then cut and weld the one from the stock pipe because it was facing the wrong way.

Wild. Mine was a piece of cake. No cutting or welding required. Only needed $3 in Tiger Patch. Took me twice as long to install my CAI.

I get the spec differences like the 3" vs 2.5" behind the muffle and the before axle dump but that doesnt exactly justify the difference in price in my opinion. I guess a better question would be are there any cons to saving a few bucks by going with the 17115. The only sound bites i can find dont do any justice to the differences so im not really concerned there but if i can get more performance out of the extra 300 bucks then i would consider it if there is any.

A lot of guys say the axle dump is annoyingly loud and drone-y. The price difference is crazy but do a little snooping and you can get the 15315 a lot cheaper. Or, even more cheaper, just cut a drop in the muffler of your choice.
