Sold my 07 CRF250R today. Man have I had some great times on this bike. My parents bought it for me in 2007 when I was 17. That's when I started racing motocross. Those were probably the best days of my life going to races with the family. Here lately I've been pretty burned out on riding the track. It just doesn't do it for me anymore. I'm thinking about buying a dual-sport. I'm eye-balling the KTM 500EXC. It looks perfect for what I want. Then there's the other side of me who wants to get a Polaris RZR 800 S. . . . gahhh. I'm just going to let the money sit for a while, so I can think about it. [IMG]

I would honestly say get a Yamaha raptor. Sweet mother of hades those things go like a bat out of hell with the 700cc engine.

I think I'm done with quads, lol. I just totaled my current quad at Durhamtown Plantation. . . Broke my hand, but could have been a lot worse. I think I'm going to stick to two wheels, or a roll cage. haha.

I like the idea of being able to get on the road, and head to some trails on an EXC. My two best friends have RZR 900XP's. That's the only thing pushing me toward a RZR, is being able to ride with them. Though, I could definitely go anywhere they go on a dual-sport. And you're right, the RZR's are a couple grand more than the 500EXC. How is your 450 on the highway? Does it struggle? How far could you cruise 60mph on the highway? Most places to ride to are hours away.

That would be fun to mob with other friends with RZR's if I could afford one of get one, but my EXC isn't fully street legal it's older it's a 06 it has a head light break light and plate but no turn signals or speedo it's legal on all like the logging roads and stuff not sire of the correct terms

The only thing I hate the rzrs is the fact they have a CVT transmission. I would rather have a six speed manual in one of them or something like Hondas 5 speed transmission it would really bring the power out of the engine.

I went to my local dealer today, and sat on a 350EXC (they didn't have a 450 or 500). And I must say, that thing sits up HIGH! I'm a short fellow, 5'6" to be exact. I wish I could test ride one, but they didn't have demo available. . .

My friend that has the 500, is about that height, and not heavy at all, he manages it. We do poke some fun about him being the smallest guy on the tallest bike of our crew. He does fine on it though, except for the occasional times he gets tipppy toe high sided on a hill climb. Man I do love my crf450r.

If I get one, a low seat will be my first purchase lol. I like the 450r. My friend has a 2011. I want something street legal though. I want to be able to hop on my bike and ride to a trail or to a track.
