1997 Tacoma 2.4 2wd AT 5lug..swap to the 2.7???

I have a 97 taco with a 2.4 2wd, at tranny. I have 230k and a misfire on 1 & 3 cylinders.
I'm wanting to know if the 2.7 will swap in relativley easy. I have Doug Thorley headers and
A k & n intake. I'm pretty sure that will all transfer I'm mostly worried about the ecu computer
any places I should go for a motor as well im out of az.

 

im not too sure but im assuming that a 2.7 should drop right in since alot of the parts are interchangable. call the guys at 'japanese truck' in wilmington california. theyll know the answer for sure. theyre a junk yard that just deals with toyota trucks mostly. one of the guys there converted his 98 2wd 2.4 to a 4wd 2.7 you can ask him. i forgot his name but hes the japanese guy that always answers the phone

I don't think he's coming back - been 2 years since he logged on. I have a feeling that it was as pieced together as his body work (not necessarily a bad thing).
