    5100's all around. Front's set at 1.75" 265/75/16 Duratracs.
So I am having a local shop install my Bilsteins because for one I don't have the time plus two they cut me a pretty good deal because I bought a set of tires from them. I go to check on my truck and they tell me they can't get it on the 3rd setting 1.75" because the coil spring compressor can't compress the spring enough. I told them there are alot of people running that set up but they said they can't do it. They got it on the 2nd setting then told me that was a bad shock design because that clip that holds the coil spring cup? I don't know if that's the right word but the thing the coil spring sets down on could pop off with any little bump. I told them if they couldn't get them installed the way I asked then I was not paying them for the shock install. I am going back later to pick up my truck. They told me while I was there that the 2nd setting raised it alot more than .85 inches. I measured my truck before I took it in and the front was exactly 2 inches lower than the rear. When I go back I am going to measure the truck and if the front is not within .25 inches of the back I am not paying for the shock install. Do you guys think I am over reacting? I don't believe I am and I am keeping a level head about it. Any tips on how to get it to the 3rd setting? I am going to assume these guys are idiots when they bashed the shock design considering I have had many offroad shops and people on here recommend them.

If it was me, I would just tell them to put the truck back the way it was and take it somewhere else.

The way the spring seat sits on the snap ring makes it impossible to come out. Those guys just don't know what they're doing.

they put the spring cups on upside down. You shouldn't be able to see the clip when they are installed correctly.

Ding Ding Ding. Your are correct. Called the guys at down south motorsports and they told me what the shop had done wrong after talking with them for 2 minutes. I went back down there and showed them what they had done wrong and they are fixing it now.
