Okay, so long story short, this happened:

In the process, the stand-off for one of my headlight buckets broke. I discovered this when trying to transfer the lights to the new ones the body shop got me. Now, my problem, I have 2. First, the shroud is bonded to the FX-R projector with JB Weld. Second, the projector is bonded to the bucket with JB-Weld. Now, the first problem, I may be able to work around. If I can get a pair of needlenose pliers in there, I should be able to work the long bolts that I also used to connect the projector to the bucket around to be able to get new nuts on them. The second problem I have is more vexing. How do I get the projector out of the bucket when it's JB-Welded to the bucket. Can I sand it down with a dremel and a rough grit barrel? Or am I screwed, and I need to get a new projector and shroud?

You should be able to sand it down like you said with dremel. i would cut it out of bowl then sand it down. There should be no reason for you to get new projectors. Best of luck

Just reread, saw the bucket itself was broke, not headlight housing. I say dremel

Flex the shroud and pop it off. Should be quite easy.

Depending upon how big the hole is between the reflector and projector, you can likely drive a screwdriver between the two and shimmy it around. I intentionally make my reflector cuts large just in case.

Okay, so I got the bucket separated from the projector, but for the life of me, I can't get the shroud off the projector. I don't want to break anything, and I can't do it by flexing the shroud or putting a screwdriver between the shroud and projector. I really did a bonding job on it. Anyways, I think I can make it work, I'll post pics tomorrow of the projector in the new housing. I'm really sick today, and not up to much effort. Hopefully tomorrow.

So, with enough Ibuprofen and cold and flu meds, I got the projector in the new bowl. Now I have to wait for new bulbs from TRS and I can install these again, and finally have decent lights once more. I've already confirmed that the projector still works, both high and low, by swapping bulbs, now I just need new ones.

Why not use superglue to hold the shroud in place? I just like four dots around the circular part of the shroud and just slid it on the projector.
