It's weird that some 16s won't fit. I gotta have at least a 1/2" between my wheel and my caliper with my rims. (16x8 Method Double Standards.)

The same shit everyone else has.
The Eagle Alloys I just picked up hit the caliper. I figure I can shaved off a few MM off the caliper and theyll fit just fine

hey guys, i got a 2011 tacoma with a 3" suspension lift and stock UCA's. Wanting to get the 17" XD Series Addict wheels that stick out past the wheel wells an inch or so on each side. Not exactly sure what size of tires to go with. Id like to go with 285/70/17's but not sure if it will rub on the UCA's or not. Any suggestions? Should I just go with a 275 or a 265/70/17 tire? Will these rub? I would be willing to trim the plastics that ain't a big deal to me. Help? haha

they come in 17x8 or 17x9 for my 6-5.5" bolt pattern, and i believe you can get either 4.5 or 5.5 backspacing, maybe more options but these are the ones i would be leaning towards

Hey, fellas. 2014 DC TRD/OR. I'm looking seriously at this wheel, the Sport Edition TK6. 17x8, +10mm offset, 4.84 backspacing. I want to wrap them in a set of P265/70R17 BFG KM2's.

    http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...lse&filterNew=All&filterWeight=All&sort=Brand

Do you guys think I'll have any issues? The truck will be lifted on the Toytec Boss kit, 3" in the front and 1/5" in the rear.

    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Boss-Suspension-System-for-05-Tacoma_p_15.html

Judging from what I've been reading here, I think that wheel and tire combo will work, but this is my first time lifting a truck and I'm completely new to this stuff. The backspacing on that wheel is only .34 inches different from the recommended 4.5" backspacing, which just just a hair under 3/8". What do you think? Thanks in advance!

4.84 backspacing is a little deep on an 8" wheel.
It'll probably be okay with 265/70s, but it might be close on the inside.
4.5 bs is the magic number.

Rich, where do you think it would rub? Upper control arms?

    Arms, possibly the frame.

I had a '95 Suburban with 285/75-16 that rubbed the back of the LCA at full lock. No clue what the offset was.. previous owner installed the tires and wheels.

Cool. I like the wheel I was looking at, but better safe than sorry. I think I'll go with this instead. zero offset, 4.5" backspacing.

What size tire do you plan on running? I have 285's on a 16x8" 0 offset wheel, and still have almost an inch between the UCA and the tire. a +10 offset would put the tire 0.40" closer to the UCA. I was able to fit 305's and still not hit the UCA with a 0 offset. I also have the LR UCAs. I don't know if they provide any more clearance than stock UCAs.

    I want a 265/70R17. I found a wheel I like, though, with 0 offset and 4.5" backspacing.

Hey Guys! I have been trying to figure this out with out success. I am looking a set of 16x8 raceline wheels with 285/75/16's. This set has a "0" offset and 4.5" backspace. The other is a set of 16x8 tuff wheels with 285/75/16's. This set has a "-13" offset and 3.99" backspace. The question I have is which set would stick out further. I want to keep things tucked in as much as possible but without any tire rub.

Also with the first set I listed how could their be a "0" offset with an uneven backspace. I would think if the offset is "0" then the back space would be half that of the width of the rim?

    Thanks guys and happy wheeling!

The set with the "-13" offset will stick out more.

When the width of a rim is listed, it doesn't take into account of the 1/2" lip on each side. So a 8" rim will really be 9" wide.

    None yet...just warmin' up
What are the Offset and Backspace specs of the stock TRD Sport 17x7.5" aluminum wheel on my 2006 PreRunner? I'm looking at replacement 17x8.5" ProComp 5035 Predators, and could really use the numbers.

By the way, I tapped into Rhino Coating in a large way, as the result of a POOR prep for powder-coating...sandblasting past all reason. Took my belly pan and hitch assembly in first, and the result was awesome. Next, I did the Nerf Bars, pads and all...unbelievable! They're not installed for pics, except for the pan, until the Aero 2525 catback goes on this week. That beautiful SS assembly caused me to drop back, punt and double-clean/repaint the entire underside in preparation.
