white parking lights

Do they make a white (non-amber) replacement bulb for the 05-11 parking lights? they were white on my 4runner and I prefer it

 

Same bulb # without an A at the end. You're talking about the ones in the headlight?

You can get LED switchbacks that are white while driving and amber when using turn signals if you want too

 

no the parking lights on the outside edge, not the inside drl/turn signals the 2827 parking bulb. I have only found the bulb in amber, but I have seen some led bulbs on Amazon, but not sure of the quality. It also seems like there is a white bulb that looks very close to the 2827, I wonder if they are interchangeable. i think it's either for the reverse lights or license plate.

 

Just go based on wattage. For LEDs it does not matter though as long as it has the smaller 1698/194/2825 style base.

If you find a mini bulb that is amber and the wattage is less or similar go for it. I like mine amber

 

They do make them. It's the same bulb size as the map lights. It's a 914 bulb base and you'd want something with a 360 degree so it reflects on the reflector area. Superbrightleds.com have them and they're good quality. The higher the lumens the brighter the output.

 

I looked up bulb sizes online and then went to eBay and bought White LED bulbs for my map lights. If the parking lights are the same (as stated above) they should work out fine. I tried to look up my eBay purchase but can't find it, sorry.

Here's a bulb list for all your led changing desires. I used it when first changing mine.You'll notice when searching for some of these that'll they'll be a different base number. But it's just because they cross reference with other bases.

 

as far as I can tell, the 2827 only come in amber, but im hoping i can find a similar bulb in white. I think the 2821 is pretty close, I'll have to check in person. If I go led, what is a good source?

260 lumen 360 degree output and remember you get what you pay for.

 

not bad for a bright long lasting bulb.

 

is it going to have a blue tint?

 

I tried my map light LEDs in the corners and they were white but I haven't run this higher lumen bulb before.

 

vled has them in white
