I've read on the forums that a lot of you use M double sided tape. I haven't found any local yet but I found this:

Have any of you used this to reinstall your emblems? I'm getting ready to paint 2 chrome emblems flat black, and I want to glue it on my tailgate the right way.

Should work, just as long as its "outdoor" rated. It took me awhile to find the 3M as well but I finally ended up at Lowes and picked it up.

    I also found this online:

Is this what I should really be using?

I found the 3m Molding tape at Newegg.com for 9.95 free shipping, ordered it last night. Have not seen it anywhere around here.

The Scotch 3M outdoor tape ( mine says rated for 10 lbs, not 5 like the pic I posted) I got at Lowes for 12.95. If the 3m Molding tape is the right one I'll take the Scotch 3M back to Lowes.

I bought this paint to use on the TOYOTA and V6 emblems:

I didn't want to use PlasiDip, I wanted this to be permanent. Bought some Valspar satin sealer.

3M double sided tape is good, haven't had any problems with the emblems coming off.
