Has anyone done business with Shrockworks? They have some decent looking rocker guards prewelded and powercoated for $460.

Pretty good company as far as I know. I personally think kick-outs are better for sliders though...

Man, Shrockworks makes really good stuff but, for that price, you could get CBIs with kickouts and more tube supports.

Or, for a little more you could get bolt ons (which I have and really like!)
    http://www.cbioffroadfab.com/produc...en-toyota-tacoma-rock-sliders-bolt-on-kickout

Or you could get some sliders for cheaper:

I have to say that I'm impressed with the fitment of the Shrockworks sliders in the picture though...

I've got their bolt on sliders on my 4runner. Previous poster is correct, great quality, excellent powdercoating, but I will NEVER order from them again.

Is shrockworks the one that 4xinnovations was absorbing?

I actually have a used set of 4xinnovation sliders that I am mounting soon, so I can't speak for them personally as far as quality goes but they were still in great shape when I cut them off the previous owners truck. He's had them on since 2008 I think. Had a slightly dented tube and tons of gouges and scrapes but no bend in the actual slider at all.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I've got a set of non kick bolt on bare metal setting here just waiting for a home no lead time unless you want them powder coated then it's about a week.

$400.00 bare and $510 powder coated.

Would a 110v MIG welder work if I were to get weld-on sliders? I've never welded directly to a vehicle before so I assume you'd want to disconnect the battery first.

Shrockworks has been a "build to order" company since the doors opened. Lead times have stretched from time to time over the years due to growing pains. Their stuff is top notch though and is certainly worth the wait if you want a quality product.

    Why?

As I welded mine (and 2 others) on with a MIG & shield gas, with proper prep (grinding to bare metal) and we have had no problems in 6yrs.

    Just curious.

    Thanks!

CBI tends to take forever as well, then they tell you it ships tomorrow even though they haven't even started on it. As for crafstmanship, good welds poor designs

Wow, resurrection of an old thread.

My All-Pro have held up to everything that I've asked them to do. They've been bumped, scraped, had the weight of the truck come down on them, etc. and have been great.

I bolted mine on but also welded the middle two supports. Why not all 4? No real reason except that I ran out of time then and haven't had a reason to since. My biggest reason for welding at all was the leverage and torque against the bottom bolts. It hasn't been an issue but the welds add an extra bit of security.
