For installing the all pro ubolt flip kit what's the advantage of having the timbrens? Can you use the flip kit without any bump stops?

They work great for hauling heavy loads, but they do take from some of the uptravel due to their height.

IMO they are more designed for hauling/towing rather than offroad, at least this is what Timbren designed them for. They are also pretty pricy for a bump.

I like using the timbren with a softer leafpack. Instead of the OEM bumpstop, they are very flexible and smooth and act like a progressive damper. They are perfect combined with a deaver leafpack so you have a pretty smooth and progressive ride without loosing too much load capacity.

I'm ordering the Dakar leaf pack to get the 2.5" of lift and more carrying capacity. Anyway to use the stock bump stop with the ubolt flip kit? Also, what if you only have the flip kit and no bump stops at all and carrying a load about 1000LB-1500. Will anything get damaged since there is no bump stop?

You will reverse arch the spring packs over bumps and possibly contact the top plate and bolts/nuts with the chassis. Basically don't go without the bumps.

With the flip kit there is no other option other then getting a universal bump and welding it to the ubolt plate or the chassis above.

Honestly a lot of folks buy these flip kits without understanding this nor even needing them because they don't plan to drag their shit all over rocks, which is the whole purpose of the flip kit.

    Build thread in sig...
you're not really losing any travel with the timbrens. you'll still push your leaf pack into negative arch (which is okay, since most packs are designed for a small amount of neg arch). the downside to them is that if you like higher speed wheeling, they rebound quickly

    This is nice.

I just got a Ubolt flip kit from All Pro and Timbren bump stops.

I like how you did this though.

Thread revive: How do you install them upside down like that with the flip kit? THe ones I have don't have screw holes on the sides, just where the ubolts can hold the metal bracket down. That won't work as I have the flip kit. Weld on I guess? Pics would be much appreciated! Going to install mine this weekend
