What up! I have an opportunity to buy a set of black TT wheels for my 2003 Tacoma. I'm curious about the offset and backspacing compared to my stock 16's. I've searched a bit with no luck.

    1. Is the offset & backspacing the same as my stock alloy wheels?

    2. Will these wheels allow me to run up to a 285/76/16 tire without clearance issues?

    3. Does anyone have photos of these wheels on a 1st Gen Tacoma?

    Thanks for the help!

285 may be a bit wide for those rims. I have a buddy I work with that is using them on a 2002 4runner and he has 275/75/16 and they fit good

7th Injector kit, Trans Cooler, Donohoe c/o's, Billy's in the rear, FJ Cruiser Trail Team SE wheels.
You are talking FJ Cruiser Trail Teams wheels??

Pretty much same offset and back spacing as those stocks wheels you are running now.

Even with around 3" of lift with ICONs upf front I rub a bit with 285's.

Forgot to mention, running SpiderTrax all the way around too.

I'm actually picking up a set of the BLACK TT wheels this weekend from a local Toyota dealer at $648 out the door. I'm going to be mounting them on 265/70/16 Duelers for now as those tires are fairly new. Will update with pics when mounted and give feedback as to any rubbing issues, if any. Bone stock White 02 Double Cab, btw.

Thanks man! I don't have those wheels anymore cause I had to sell them to help pay for our move. I've had her for about a year and when I bought her she had 148k miles. She has about 151k miles on it now. I bought it from the original owner who took amazing care of it. She gave me a binder full of records too. Sorry OP for thread jacking lol

I'm thinking this may be a better option if I want to stay with a Toyota wheel. Anyone know the backspacing/offset on it? It's an 03-06 Tundra 17x7.5

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
they will fit just fine....the backspacing on the newer alloys is about 5", but will work on the 1st gens, which have a 4.5" backspacing on the alloys....if you want, 3/4" bora hubcentric spacers will bring the backspace back to stock,.....265's work fine, 285's will rub without a lift and possibly some trimming...

Those tundra wheels look really good on silver Tacomas. I believe that they have the same backspacing as the first gen wheels.
