OK, I need some assistance from those of you who have knowledge about the 2012 - 2014 tacoma bumpers.

I want my bumper cover to be color matched to the truck. While I don't dislike the black bumper look a whole lot, I do dislike the textured black plastic that shows up on so many cars.

So, I am in search of an OEM bumper cover than is not textured and that can be primed and painted. I would prefer not to have the textured bumper preped and painted. It can be done, but its not as good as a bumper that is intended to be painted. I do not have the fender flares.

It looks like maybe the 2013 sr5 came with a painted bumper (for non-flared fenders). This does not appear to be the case for the 2014 model?

So, does anyone know if the 2013 sr5 cover will work?

I found this for a part number (2013):
    5211904060 - Bumper cover W/O X-RUNNER, w/SR5 pkg

    I have a 2014 2.7L AC 5 speed. This is what I am after:

I added some info to the original post.

If no one has any info they can share, I will call one of the toyota parts dealers...

I know that you said you did not want to do this but:

Talk to your local paint guy/shop and get a quote. It will be 10 times easier to have them paint it versus you buying one from the dealer and still having it painted to match. If you take it to get painted they should be able to work a great deal and have the grill mirrors and rear bumper painted to match as well. i see it as a win/win .I understand it does have texture but really only a handful of nitpicky people would notice. It will look great painted.... save yourself the headache.

    My two cents.

Best of luck with whatever you decide

I hear ya... I am one OCD SOB though... See below for an example. I couldn't deal with any texture. Really, I should probably be on meds :)

Anyway, I do appreciate the feedback.

The plastic cover (what you are wanting) is pretty common depending on where you are, they usually go for $100 when someone wants to swap for a plate bumper replacement.
