Why do I get the feeling that there's no love for this bumper...

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but they are huge, ugly, overpriced and hinder approach angles. There are a lot better alternatives for cheaper from 3rd party vendors of this site. BUT, it does not matter if no one likes it, it only matters if you like it. Post some install pics when you are done.

I like the ranch hand style bumpers, but they don't look good on Tacomas in my opinion. The lines are different. But if you like it, then you like it.

I like it. Different strokes for different folks.

My main question is how heavy is that MOFO?

It's about 250 lbs. Installation was a breeze. Beefed up the coils from 885's to 886's without a spring compressor method....It was so easy.

Here's some pics of the swap.
    Unwrapped: FF10C4B7-398F-426E-82AB-09BAA2311B47_cb5773c3690cf8a5eff639aeefa067e05e6bb090.jpg

    Removing the Crash bar: 8922E514-5D20-4CDD-814A-5086FCA4A9FD_fe86c9123add4b823e6c9e3df478fe573a39dfca.jpg

    Bolting it on was easy...B5D8BB5C-8447-451B-8DC5-FFF96A37266B_ba95ead2c0e19799ee839fca854a9c52d7a4877a.jpg

Then we moved on to the spring swap--

One spring done--wired up the LED bar temporarily until my sPOD comes in.

Stopped at the gas station for a photo op with better light.

You're entitled to your own opinion. To answer your question: because I like it.

It's stout. I don't do any crawling or much off-roading. My truck moves boats... All the time and a front hitch is a huge help. I love the diamond plate amd the steel tubing. It must just be a Texas thing

Hey man don't let them get you down bud. I think that bumper is pretty stout and although i wouldn't rock it personally, i can see why someone would; and it may be a texas thing lol.

The more I look at it the more I like it. It's not like the arb is the prettiest thing. Is it painted with gloss black?
