Rainbow boa, Burmese (4foot), argus monitor, a smaller Asian water monitor (although I was daily handling and showing an 8+ foot Asian water monitor off for work), 3 red tails about 8ft, an emperor scorpion, probably a dozen ball pythons, 2 western diamondbacks, 1 sidewinder, 2 Savannah monitors, à green tree python, an albino abbarent king snake, a gopher snake, and a few others I lose track of.

    Not so exotic..... Wolf hybrid.

Working at an exotic pet store, I've probably handled anything u can think of in the trade besides endangered species or hot items..... We never carried anything hot, and iI only had the rattlers above at home.

    Permits?

I was 18ish........ I don't have many pics due to the age..... This was in 1998 roughly before I went to basic training. When ur handling 18+ ft burms, massive monitors, and the like on a daily basis, ya take it for granted at that age.

On my phone, but I'll upload what I have later from the computer.... I know I have a couple of the water monitor. 1 with a customer hand feeding it even.

I was just young, and had access to an exotic shop and when I got the keys, I would show up early, leave late, and educate the hell out of myself with all the books and of course hands on.
I will say it was cool to see 3 clutches of Burmese python eggs hatch tho..... Soooo many babies. I got lucky and showed up right as they were breaking thru the eggs. We had all kinds of babies from those clutches. The females and males were different colors/genetics.

We had baby albinos, baby greens, normal baby burms, and I assume since at least 1 male was albino, we may have had some normal looking babies that were het for albino.

Unfortunately I did have something bad happen once.....

We had a "pair" of macklots pythons..... I fed them both one day (in separate bins) while I cleaned the cage.... I put them back later with no issues.
The next morning the male was missing!

That's when we noticed the female was very very large........ She later gurged up the male :(

    Yep.....

I liked when we had a regular customer who was interested but still scared.

I'd get a docile small snake like a rosy boa.... Slowly they would get to be OK with holding it.

If it was a woman, it would be easy for me to pick up a little hognose snake and get them to hold it. I'd tell em "look how ugly this snake is, its so ugly its cute...the nose is upturned like a pigs".
Sure nuff, they would laugh and hold it... Who can be afraid of such a goofy snake right?
Later I'd take it back and say, " congrats u just held a venomous snake!".
Course a hoggy would rather play dead than bite, they have rear fangs, and the venom is harmless to us.
That generally made them feel better and ready for a lager snake.

    No

    I'm not sure wtf happend.

They eat mammals normally. I'd expect this being a problem with some kingsnakes, but not a proven mating pair of pythons. Course the male was a jerk sometimes... If we had ppl afraid of bites, I'd open that cage and let the male strike my forearm a few times. He was 8 or so feet I guess but rlly thin. So it may have looked crazy but didn't hurt, and made ppl feel more at ease. Until the day he latched on for an hour.
Maybe the female got tired of his crap and ate him

At one point I lived in a house where we had 40 snakes, an iguana, several bearded dragons, a chameleon, a crocodile, 5 dogs, 6 cats a 110 gallon fresh water tank, a 55 gallon salt water show tank and a 75 gallon salt water reef tank.

The salt water reef was mine. Of the snakes I had two ball pythons, a Borneo blood python, and three corn snakes.

Other snakes included: a reticulated python (15 ft), a Burmese (15 ft), an albino Burmese (10 ft), a western diamondback (facking thing bit me... it's venom sacks were tied), a couple red tail boas, an Argentinian boa... and many others I've forgotten.
