Recently purchased Pro comp 5029 wheels for my 2010 DCSB. They require new lug nuts so I plan on going with Gorilla E/T conical style (68138L) to get more bite on the lug.

Question: Am I supposed to use a washer with these lug nuts? A couple of sites I've reviewed offer them but no one is clear if they are required or not.

    Thanks for the help!

Thanks. I didn't think it sounded right but its nice to hear it from someone else.

Are you using the E/T lugs?

From what I've read, it seems these are the answer to avoiding balance issues with aftermarket wheels that are lug centric so to speak.

Are you by chance using the Gorilla E/T lugs? If so, how have they held up? I've read some issues with chrome lugs rusting out over time.

Thanks a lot for your help on this!

You're right. A lot of aftermarket wheels are lug centric now. That is why you want to buy the gorilla e/t conical lug nuts. The conical/tampered part will help you center the wheels to your hubs.

As far as E/T goes, those extra threads on the lug nuts will grab on more threads on your hubs. Some lugs are still short with aftermarket wheels.

I have pro comp wheels on mine and I am using gorilla e/t lugs like pictured below. They held up pretty good! I had mine for over a year and they're still shiny new.

I bought a couple of those spline type E/T lugs like you have to check them out but I was concerned if they were "beefy" enough for my Pro Comp wheels. If they are working for you, that's a good sign. From searching, they appear to be the ONLY E/T type lug available in black; all the acorn styles are chrome only. Looks like that's the answer. Thanks again!
