yea theyve closed and or made massive mounds of dirt on entry ways to some of the good trails me and my brother would ride on Eglin. he told me to thank the FJ Cruisers. apparently they would have big get together's and not give a crap about the trails and disregard the rules. so Eglin is putting a stop to some of the good stuff.

side note - another good place in crestview is closed also, called Rasberry Rd. running out of places to ride.

Your point of contact is wrong about that. Ask me how I know. I was on the FJ trail rides and we put together a clean up and removed tons of trash in a joint effort with Eglin after that clean up then the trails were shut down.

    http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/south-east-region/82746-nw-florida-eglin-clean-up.html

    enjoy......

now go and find a video of an FJ in a barrow pit on the reservation unlike what has been seen around here.....

If you want the real story then we can sit down and have a talk about it. but speculation is a bad thing.

geocaches were located prior to making the map of where all the debris was to be removed. I removed them then put them back unless the cache was inside a container in the trash piles.

This subject really gets under my hide for obvious reason with all work I put in out there to get it all cleaned up. I do work for an alphabet group so that didn't help, as some members of the off road community held me responsible for "setting them up" with the clean up knowing that the area would be closed, which I had no idea that was going to happen. (F'd up but that is what some ppl thought) It did help get the answers on why the areas where closed in the manner that they were back in '09.

A bid was put out to hire a contractor to come in and place cable barricades AROUND the borrow pits and lay sod on them for erosion control. The contractor seeing as how he was out there unsupervised determined that if he just closed off the roads going into those areas then he wouldn't have to use as much time and materials to complete the task. On final inspection of the area it was determined that moving the barricades to the areas that they were supposed to be installed would cause additional erosion issues and they decided to just leave them where they were installed initially.

I removed the stock running boards from my '08 TRD. If I were to sell them on Craigslist, what years of fitment would they range? '05-'12?

hey Chris, I kinda see why you fly through those trails now haha, I love this mid travel setup, I aired the tires down to about 15 psi as well...and wow, flyin through these trails at 45+mph and the ride is as smooth as can be. Definitely something i could not have done with my previous spacer lift I had on, so worth the money I spent on it :D

Flood damage. That's kind of iffy. Seems like it'd be an electrical nightmare.
