I have 3 questions about the ultra gauge.
    1. How hard is it to hook up? I would want to put it by my rear view mirror but i dont want wires running every where
    2. Which one do i get? there are 3 different models

    3. What all information does it tell you exactly? Is it worth the money

Is the scangauge better and worth the extra money?

Their website has most of these answers... but

    1. No it plugs right in to OBDII. Wires can be ran around the windshield... but personally I have my gauge mounted near the steering wheel with the cord running behind the panels to the OBD port

As long as it takes you to plug something into a wall socket, so about 2 to 3 seconds.

Mine's up above the rear view mirror. Bolted to it actually with a u-clamp from the hardware store because I got sick of my 3-year-old suction cup falling off.

The wire is just tucked into the front of the headliner, down the pillar lower edge inside the door rubber, and right down to the OBDII port. Just make sure you plug it in and run the wire from there first because just to the left of center above the mirror is all it'll reach.

I'd say just the basic EM 1.2 is all most people would need. It has many more features than my old v.1.1, like up to 8 gauges at a time vs 6 on mine, or short term tripmeters.

Scangauge II is a nice product; it's more customizable, i.e. screen color and the ability to use manufacturer-specific readouts through xgauge (auto tranny temp for one), and the cable is detachable from the device. It's easier to hide too. Basically its only downsides are the screen resolution (only 4 gauges at once) and the price.

I have the windshield suction cup mount. Ran wires down behind door insulation (very easy), plugs right into labeled OBDII port under dash, takes about 2 minutes to install everything. I want to say there's only two things that the SG monitors that the UG doesn't. (something to do with the battery and transmission temp maybe?)

Since I took this picture I've changed the order of the things I have on the main screen...now have speed and engine temp on two top boxes, then HP and torque on lower left, then average and instant MPG in lower right.
