I thought about just pming Bob, but rather see if more people would utilize the feature first.

Basically, it would be a soft thread that is not view able to the public yet.
Allowing modifications and saving the process in between visits and without having to go "live" with the thread.

But why would I use it?

Well my first thought is finishing a thread on another device (start on your mobile, finish on your PC). I can't tell you how many times at work I want to start something but cannot finish it on my mobile.
DIY threads would greatly benefit from it
Build threads haven't had a chance to start one but takes too much time to do it at once? Just do a bit every day, I mean you could just publish one, but not everyone wants to submit something they feel is incomplete. also reserve them spots ! lol.
    Group Buys threads
I'm sure you get the gist.

Keep in mind, the new upgrade will hold a great feature that is on a similar foundation that I am suggesting. Below is a video of it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xza3YqAndwk&feature=youtu.be

Maybe I am crazy, but I just thought of it, so implement it maybe?

Funny story - I was creating a thread that made me want to save it, and in the process of doing the video I closed the tab and now am recreating it. LOL. can't wait for the upgrade.

I like it. Like an unpublished draft feature....that's actually a really good idea, so you can revisit your thread or post before actually publishing it. I'll add it to my list

Then while you're in the middle of posting a list of what "you've completed today" with pics no one will post "looks good" in between your posts because it won't fit in one post. Lol
I think it could be a good idea.
