So while I was at school last week, someone decided that they needed my center cap more than I did. It's hard to see in the pic, but they scratched up the wheel too when they were prying it off with a screwdriver or something. I know there's only one thief and everyone else is just trying to get their stuff back. And I know I won't get it back. My question is this: does anyone know of a way to prevent this from happening again?

    Thanks folks.

Sorry to hear about the theft. Only 2 ways to prevent this in the futue. Move to an island by yourself... or if you like to have people around, move to Canada.

Move to Canada?? Dafuq you talking about?? Maybe the island, but not Quebec. Planet Earths most freaking corrupt and theft happy environment EVER!! Although admittedly you won't have your hub cover stolen, that's for sure. There is only about a 93% chance you will have your entire truck stolen. My last trip there cost me a $42k dollar pickup truck, a $4k clamshell trailer and two zero mile sleds worth $10k each- picked up at the dealer about 12 hours prior. Seventy thousand dollar weekend in Quebec.:mad:

Can you tell I'm a little furious about Quebec? Although the pickup was a Dodge, so that might have been a blessing anyway.

Thanks for the laugh! And sorry for your loss, no way to "Dodge" that one. Quebec isn't really sure if they want to be a part of Canada, so pick another of the 9 Provinces left, or the 3 Territories.

And to be fair to Quebec, I'm pretty sure Italy matches yor description better.

I had a buddy that had something very similar happen to him. He was in California though. Go figure. Apparently it was a pretty big deal. A guy at the dealership would call his buddies anytime a nice vehicle showed up and his buddies would still it.

At the end of the day, lock only keep honost people honost. If anyone wants your shit, and they can take it, it's gone.

A while back, someone on here posted pictures of his fancy pricey axe, he had in the back of his truck... within hours of the post, it was gone.

I hear that. Steel head and ash handle, and I'm good.

The wife and I go up to Pittsburg N.H. three times a year with our sleds and cross the boarder for a day... that's the kind of story we hear each time. :(
