Ryno All Terrain Products is at it again.... I am offering a group discount on my skid plates for 1st gen Tacomas and 3rd gen 4Runners. I will run this group buy until April 30th. A $250 deposit is due April 30th. The rest can be paid when the order is ready to ship.


RACK COVERAGE SKID: Included in purchase is an extended IFS skid plate that covers the steering rack and all necessary hardware to install.
Weights:
1/8" = 42 pounds
3/16" = 60 pounds

3 PIECE SET: Included in purchase are IFS, transmission, transfer case skids, and all necessary hardware to install.
Weights:
1/8" = 85 pounds
3/16" = 120 pounds

Details:
3/16" or 1/8" high strength cold rolled steel (stronger than hot rolled other vendors use)
45-60 pounds a piece
Factory mounting holes
Cutout for engine oil drain plug
Replaces factory skid plates
Works with diff drops - no spacers needed
Not painted or powdered - $125 extra for black powder coat

Manufacturing time is 2-3 weeks from when I order. I will ship when the order is complete.

RACK COVERAGE SKID

 

So tempted to get the other two skids, but I'm tapped out. Loving my ifs/rack skid btw, really nice piece.

Yep, I know exactly which ones you mean haha. Honestly it might have made the difference between someone jackin my catalytic converter, or moving onto the next tacoma

I forgot to add that 1/8" thick is still a possibility for this group buy. It was a hot seller last time in the rack coverage skids. Same price.

 

What's the weight difference between the 1/8" and 3/16" for just the front IFS skid?

 

42 pounds vs. 60. The 1/8" is beefy enough that people thought I sent them 3/16". It is not a weak inferior plate by any means.

 

I mostly do hunting trails and occasional there are big boulders here and there what do you recommend?

 

The rack coverage skid would be right up your alley, unless you are worried about putting a rock through your transmission or transfer case. Extra protection is always nice.

 

And just to be clear, these fit lifted trucks as long as it isn't a drop bracket 6", and they work with diff drops without any spacers. I can't guarantee aftermarket bumper fitment. Elite bumper owners would need to do minor mods to the front skid. I can get you info on that if needed.

Anyone interested, please add which skid(s) you are interested in and thickness. 1/8" or 3/16".

 

I'll verify that the ifs skid works with my 1" (I think?) diff drop and trail gear low profile front bumper.

 

Free bump for some good skids. I bought a set from the first group buy and I'm very happy with them. They can definitely take some abuse.

By any chance do you have a comparison between the IFS/Rack skid and the stock skid?
