Is Bilstein the only manufacturer who makes height adjustable shocks like the 5100s?

Roughly, yeah...I guess I should have included that in the question.

    Then I don't think so.

Spanner adjustable coilovers like king, icon, fox ext will not be in the same price range.

There's nothing wrong with the billies really, but the TRD off road has progressive coils and the ride will become harsh the higher u go using the off road coils and 5100's.

I'd suggest using lift coils like eibach (2") with 5100's set at zero, or OME (UP TO 3"), for a lift while not breaking the bank.

If ur looking for over 2.5", u MIGHT need new uca's to get a good alignment..... Keep that in mind.

    Stay away from spacers.

For the rear, try a progressive add a leaf (aal), like wheelers or icon..... They come with 3 thinner leaves instead of 1 thick leaf. Those means a more compliant ride.

Or u can get a new leaf pack from all pro, ome, etc.

Make sure to keep your brake lines, alignment, rear drive line angles, CV angles (if 4 wheel drive), and other possible things in mind because they can be affected with lifting.

I am going to go with the Bilsteins, I was just wondering about others. I know that, for the 2" that I want to lift it, the Bilsteins are probably the most affordable...that and an AAL in the back...bablelt has been helping me with a ton of information.

I want to lift it to the 2" mark. I met lowinhz at our most recent TN meet, he's go the billies in front and blocks in the back and doesn't have any complaints.

What's the issue with the ride change?

If I were you dude I would save up for icons or one those higher end shocks. For 1500 you can get icons up front and in the rrar and you will never need to buy another shock ever again.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
There is no 2" setting on the 5100s. Settings are 0", .85", 1.75", and 2.5".

I think you will be fine with the Billies (f/r) and some eibach/OME coils and an AAL. No need to break the bank on Fox/King/Icon unless you really want the kingdingalings. Lifting the truck requires stiffer coils or more preload on the coils (stiffening them) so the ride will become well....stiffer. This can be adjusted for with valving on the higher end shocks. I have Icon front and rear, I like them, but would have been just as happy with Billies I believe.

No need to debate on the setting vs for the 5100's gents.

They are approximates, and billy has stated that before...... Its pretty close, but most important is this fact that stands just as true for eibachs as I have seen over the years.

With all the configurations on cab sizes and bed lengths combined with auto vs manual, 4x4 be 2wd, and other packages, lifts are worded as an average.

These models have differing weights and therefore can cause more or less height being achieved from the same exact shock/coil combination.

    Prerunner forms:
Auto.....manual.....access cab long bed.....double cab long bed....double cab short bed....tow package (larger battery, hitch).....V6....I4.....reg cab?

4x4.....access cab long bed.....double cab long bed..... Double cab short bed.....tow package.....manual.... Automatic..... V6.....I4...... Reg cab long bed

So in the end, the lifts are approx.... No one is right or wrong in the end.

Usually its shown for 2nd gens as

    0

    0.85

    1.75

    2.5

Also eibachs are listed at 1.6

    I have closer to 2

    Its all gravy
