Does anyone have an 05 oem part for a cali girl to pass smog? Or know where I can go to "pass" smog..... HELP PLEASE

You don't need your stock intake most of the aftermarket intakes are CARB certified and in no way effect your emissions test or visual inspection. With an 05' you should be more worried about your cats being fried which will be an issue for smog testing.

Wife's '04 Rav4 has already passed two smog tests... pretty much no measurable emissions... they're there, but at a small fraction of what is permitted.

Toyota cats last forever. Aftermarket cats don't.

Fiestee... The '12 intake will not fit the '05.
Which engine and which intake do you have?

Where in SoCal are you? I have a stock intake you can use to pass smog if that's the problem. Is it the visual inspection you are not passing? I have the 1st gen trd cai installed (not California legal) but because it says trd my smog guy says it's good. Let me know you if you need it, located in Santa Clarita.

I have an 06' ( manufactured proudly in Mexico in 05' ) and while hunting down a mystery rattle at low RPM I read a post about the cats. I pulled my right header off and sure enough bits fell out. I heard that if you have that prob and you take apart the pipe between the two cats there will be a plethora of expired front cat chunks at the front of the rear cat. someone posted a video of them dumping the debri out like that :) I have been researching my options for new aftermarket short tubes and new cats...but CA sure makes it tough :/ I am also getting that foul sulfer smell now too under load ...rattles and bad smells = toasty cats.

Im in the pomona area and everything over here is stat certified stations they wont touch the truck without a CARB # sticker on the intake.
