So back when I bought my 00 PreRunner in 07, I added an Airaid cold air intake, K&N filter and a JET throttle body spacer. Really peaked it up but I have a gnawing problem. I know it's been a long time but it really irks me that I actually have to WARM (when it's 80 degrees) the truck up for 3-5 minutes in Arizona before the idle drops to it's normal range of 900 or so. When it starts it wants to be at 1200-1300 but settles normally after the warm up, almost like it's seeing a cold start (cold temperature) condition. I'm running Boshe dual platinum plugs that come out clean every time I inspect them. Have cleaned the MAF and reset the ECU numerous times. Just passed emissions fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I'm gonna guess Engine Coolant Temp sensor and look for vacuum leaks but I could be wrong.

Interesting that you mentioned that as I have replaced the radiator (1 1/2 years ago) but it seems to me the problem started after the cold air/throttle body thing way back when.

OP, from what I got, you dont want the truck to idle high at cold startup? Because that is completely normal. At cold start, it should be around 1300rpm till it starts getting warm and gradually drops till it's at operating temp(round 650 rpm). Even at warm start, it should shoot up to 1300 rpm, and then drop low
