Got these black American racing Baja 16x8 wheels with 4.5 backspacing and 0mm offset and THEY DONT CLEAR THE CALIPERS. Not sure if previous owner put on thicker calipers but I’ve seen other members rock these with no issues and I don’t wanna run spacers. Super bummed when I got them mounted and was ready to go wheel and I heard that scrape:(

Are you sure those are 16x8 with 4.5 bs? My Pro Comps are 16x8 with 4.5 bs and 0 offset and they look deeper than your wheels.

Edit: It looks like that is the only offset they have in the 16x8 so it must be right. I just checked my calipers and I can easily fit a finger between the wheel and caliper so you might have some non stock calipers. Do you have any pictures of them?

Yeah I’m sure it even shows it etched on the back of the rim, had a off-road shop I even ask the same thing if it’s the wrong size since the run is seen on the wider part of the barrel also can be seen on box

I'm on a 6" fabtech lift. tires are 305-70-16, 1.25" spacer, and no CMC needed.

I had a similar problem with the Ion Alloy 171's. 4.3inch BS and -05mm offset. Autoanything.com customer service assured me they would clear. They did not. I ended up getting spacers to make them fit. Looking into new wheels now after a year and I'm hesitant on getting the Mickey Thompson Classic III's (4.5 BS 00mm offset). I bought my 2015 4x4 Offroad brand new. I'm wondering if the stock calipers are a different size than the other models or if its just the design of the wheel itself.

That’s a bummer. I’ve mentioned it on other pages but 4wheelparts of all places keeps service logs on wheels they sell and mount so you get proof of clearance more or less. They assured me my procomp 7069 would clear and they did just barely though.

Good to know thanks for the input. I have a 4WP 500 yards from my house so that will be an easy resource. Cheers!
