I'm about to pull the trigger on a 3" suspension lift and after reading thousands of threads on lifts and opinions. I was going to get the Bilstein/Eibach lift and attain the 3" lift from the springs themselves since the Bilsteins only have a max setting of 2.5". Here's the kit..what do you guys think? Has anyone used this lift before?
    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Bilstein-Adjustable-lift-kit-with-5100-shocks-_p_1137.html

Also, would I need any other parts and pieces that are not included in this lift? I.E. - Extended Brake Lines (front and/or rear), bushing kits (What kind?), Lowered Exhaust Brackets, etc. thanks all!!

Here's a taco for your help! :taco:

That's exactly the set up I have and it rides ok. I don't know if I wanted UCA's or needed UCA's, but if I were you, I would get some LR UCA's.

Anyhow, for the price, it's worth it. I am piecing together a different set up as we speak. I am in the same boat, just going for the upgrades.

    Hope that helps.

Haven't run the kit but will help with lift accessories.

    - Ditch the Diff drop
    - I ran an AAL and then ended up getting a new leaf pack. If you can afford to now, go with the new leaf pack.
    - If you are flexing, rear extended brake lines should be on the list.
    - You can re-use the stock bumps, but if you plan on running a u bolt flip kit in the rear, I would suggest SuperBumps or Timbrens; again depends on budget and type of driving.

If you plan on running the lift over 2.5" tall, grab some LR UCA's.

    Hope this helps.

I'm not doing any crazy off roading, maybe some light off roading once in awhile but nothing that my A/T's cant handle. My main purpose for lifting was to clear the tire rubbing and I've just always wanted to lift it. This is my daily driver, if that helps!

-Why ditch the diff drop? I'm just assuming that i NEEDED it.
-Flexing as in heavy off roading and pushing my shocks to the limit? I might just grab them to have them!
    -No U-Bolt, just AAL's
-Would going without new UCA's for a year or two be a problem?

    thanks!

-some people can get by without new UCAs and be in spec some can't. I just figured while I was doing it, to go ahead and get them.

Subscribing to this thread because I will most likely be in your same boat this summer. Can you provide a build thread once you decide??? I'd like to have some guidance.

If you have a first gen keep the drop kit, it helps with the CV angles/vibrations.

That kit comes with everything you really need, like previously said if you have the cash buy a new leaf pack if not pull that trigger

Im running this kit without the diff drop. no issues here. For the money, you cant beat it! Bilstein builds quality products. I didnt go with a full leaf pack due to funds, but I am still able to play with this bad boy (See my build thread). Leaf packs will come later, but so far this lift is satisfying my needs

Couldn't find what gen the OP had.

OP, if you're set on not getting a leaf pack at this time, check out wheelers 3-leaf HD pack.

Disregard my comment about the diff drop. You will want to include that.

Thanks! Is there such a thing as long travel CV boots for a 3" lift or better angled CV boots?

I have an 04, my leafs were shot, do the full replacement leafs. I too did the diff drop. Helps a bit. All the parts are there. My boots are good but slightly leaky. I'll find new high angle boots later. I also did UCA's but only because my bjs were shot... Why not right? Camburg uniballs, very happy so far.

Oh I did the Toytec boss lift. Very happy with that.
