I agree the stories are too deep, but I do like watching the fishing. Definitely a rough job

I worked on scallop boats and I did some gill net fishing from Montauk NY to Atlantic City, NJ.

It sucked and most of the time it was >20f and the seas where less than 15'. I hated life for those 18 months. I couldn't imagine fishing in the Bearing sea!

I used to be addicted to the show but ive gotten away from it over the last few seasons. I might try to watch this season though

will definitely be watching. I've watched them all and met Sig a few times in WA. I enjoy the show. My brother was on the search team for Jakes dad. Was sad stuff. I have a feeling itll be the final season.

I don't like the manufactured arguing and drama. I like a show about fishing. I wish they would include more information about the business side and make it educational.
They should make it informative instead of Jerry Springer.

Amen. Wicked Tuna and Catching Hell are awesome to watch also when they are actually fishing. Nothing is worse for manufactured arguing and drama as you say than Catching Hell, which is almost unwatchable when they go off the deep end on that sort of BS. But the diving and spearfishing segments are extremely cool.

DVRs make all these shows a gazillion times better and eliminate about 2/3rds of the total air time. I can't watch any of them without being able to fast-forward.

Did you ever see the show Ax Men ? It started out cool about the logging industry and then turned into nothing more than people arguing.

Same with all of the car and bike "building" shows, getting really old now. I was sick of it back in the Orange County Chopper days, the constant arguing ruined that show

I can't stand tv anymore. The discovery and history channels had such good shows once upon a time. There isn't much of anything I really want to watch, except for fresh prince of bel air or tool time.

personally I find youtube to be more interesting than TV.

if I want to watch off roading in Colorado or surfing in Fiji or whatever I can find it for free and in seconds.
