    I have read what seems like a million posts on lifting tacomas. What makes the icon so much better in terms of ride. Don't give me your passionate response; tell me why. I think Bilstein makes a quality product. Is it the springs?

    Bilstein 5100 all around to level it out.
    bump, im curious some responses on this as well. i have 5100 all around, piecing together a full 3" lift and looking to use icon's UCA. ive been trying to find information on what springs icon uses on their coil overs. and if they would go well on my billy struts working towards a 3" lift. or if the toytecs are all i need. not to jack the thread, im curious the answer to the question posted.

    Hijack away. Nobody ever answered me so I went into full research mode. I don't know the exact manufacturer of the Icon springs, but I think they have a higher spring rate than the stock so it could be stiffer. The Icons can be adjusted with a CDC (http://www.iconvehicledynamics.com/...ng-list-1/icon-cdc-compression-valve-upgrade/) which could be a nice feature. After I looked at all the pro-cons, I determined that Icon and Fox make a product that is far superior to the others. That being stated, it might not be right for you.

    I have all the parts to put an Icon stage 4 on my truck except the OME rear leafs. I decided that an AAL just didn't seem like a long-term answer. The stage 4 was way more than I wanted to spend, but it includes the billet UCA's and larger shocks. I like flying down the trail and this seemed the ticket. I'm not a rock-crawler so I don't need a long-travel set-up.

    Now I'm trying to figure out the wheel/tire combo.
