I do almost every day it seems. I followed what I know now was a walking trail for almost 10 miles on google maps lol. Couldn't zoom enough to figure out that is what it was.

Anybody interested in a Hannibal Safari aluminum roof rack? My truck's been gone for a year now and I'm finally getting around to selling what I have left in my garage.

It's 59"x51" with 3.5" 3-side rail. Brand new they're $1200. They don't have them listed anymore on their USA website, but they've got some good pictures. Not sure on the weight, but it's a solid beast.

    Asking $350

Damn that thing is nice! Sometimes I wish I had the 4 door tacoma and not the extended cab....I measured it out and looks like it wont fit just a little to long for my truck and I couldnt justify cutting up that rack to make it fit haha.

I've been thinking about a roof rack but it's pretty far down on my list of expensive crap I want to buy. That is one hell of a good deal though. Mind if I ask a bunch of questions?

How much wind noise do you get from it going 80?

How quick can you take it off and put it back on?

Do you have to remove that black trim from the roof channels, or could you drill a discrete hole thru it for mounting?

Any noticeable impact on mileage when it's empty?

While certainly noticeable, I didn't find the wind noise annoying at interstate speeds. I commuted between Lincoln and Omaha for about 15 months with it on and never had an issue. This consistent drive allowed me to figure out about a .5mpg difference between with and without the rack installed.

I think it's somewhere around 50lbs - I was able to remove and install by myself from the bed of the truck. While huge and awkward to maneuver, not terribly difficult.

I bought my Taco used with the rack already installed. Previous owners had permanently installed universal rails in to the channels that the mounting hardware slid in to. To a none-owner, it looked totally stock with the rack removed. I kept everything that was removable for mounting so you can either create your own rig, or find a channel to mount in to the channels to accomplish the same thing.

Also wanted to try and put together a trip in June to Kansas Rocks or Tuttle Creek, we can camp or just make a day trip out of it. Would be cool to do a Toyota meet down at one of those locations and invite some of the other states to join as well in the midwest section on here.
