I won't need them right away unless they're pretty bad, which with 50k and not even what I would call hard wheeling they should fine for awhile. I can just grab them once you're here if you're ok with that.

I've been carrying a .45 for a few years and luckily I haven't had to use it yet. I know it's not really big enough to stop a bear but I'm always out with someone else who has a .45 also. A .44 mag would be ideal. And as far as bear spray and such goes I don't trust that crap I've seen videos of bears licking the spray on the ground and you are really screwed if the wind shifts and the spray comes toward you that stuff burns for days

Yep that's why I hate bear spray haha. I'm leaning toward getting two guns haha. One for bears and one for fun. And I'm sure that'll only be the beginning....

I'm not sure if really use the fact that they can lick it and be fine as a reason it doesn't work. There's plenty of people the eat habeneros just fine but I guarantee they wouldn't be fine with getting habenero juice in their eyes haha

And first hand experience says bear spray even in small quantities suckssssssssss so yeah if the wind shifts you're kinda screwed. Although I'd still take that over being eaten :)

I wouldn't rely solely on either one. Ideally I'd like to have both

Nice. I forgot about the 45LC rounds. Someone mentioned that to me in the past. Thanks for the opinions everyone. I'm not a gun owner nor is anyone in my family so I don't know much about them. I've shot a lot of friends guns but have yet to own one.

This is so true. The only reason I don't have more done to my truck is because I'm addicted to guns.
