My truck is a 2006 Dbl Cab Off Road 4WD with 100K on the clock. And I want to lift it up nice and level without compromising ride quality and handling too badly. It's my daily driver, so I don't want to get too carried away with the lift height, but I still want to lift it.

After reading a lot of posts on the topic, I'm thinking Bilstein 5100's all around, with the fronts set to 1.75.

What's a good direction to go with the rear leafs to level it out?

And what's the best coil spring option in the front?

Add a leaf for the rear springs will keep money in your pockets.
Front springs most people run ome springs.

You seem like you're going in the right direction

Thanks. Any recommendations on a preferred vendor for the Add-a-Leafs and springs?

If you want to do an add a leaf go with the icon 3 leaf progressive leaf pack or wheelers version. This will give you a better ride than just a single add a leaf.

With 100k on your truck you might just want to consider replacing the whole leaf pack

Ended up getting everything from Wheelers. Great vendor. Their customer service is excellent.

    Specific equipment I bought was:

    FRONT:
Bilstein 5100 adjustable ride height shocks (set to max lift)
Old Man Emu 885 coil springs

    REAR:
    Bilstein 5100 shocks
    WHE MP3HDX 3-leaf progressive Add-A-Leaf set

Leveled the truck out nicely. Very stiff ride, but I don't care because it looks cool as shit.

The only thing I would do differently is to pay the extra $120 to have them mount the springs onto the shocks using new rubber bushings. Worth every penny.

OP, if you're supposed to set the 5100's at zero or maybe .85 with the 885's
How much lift did you get?
I hope that's not the case, you do look high in the front from pics OP.

If you have the bilsteins set at 2.5 with the OME springs then you're probably getting at least 5 inches of lift in the front...your CV boots will be destroyed in a week or two. And I doubt you have a decent alignment...

No way it's even close to being aligned if this is the case...

Thanks for the advice. You probably saved me from a lot of expensive aggravation. I'll check the boots. Maybe I do need to lower the front. I got 4-1/2" lift in the front and I was only expecting 2-1/2".

Lower it back down to 0. Especially with 885 coils.

I'll scan and post the alignment report. And then I'll lower it back down.

    Please do...

    Whoa...

With just the 885's you'll get the 2 1/2" you were looking for.
You'll find the ride much better as well :)

Take a pic of your CV angles just so we can make fun of you in time looking back saying, "remember when you were a newb and you set your 5100's at 2.5 with 885's?" Lol
