$3.49 for 87 octane when I last filled up.
Don't think I'll drive any less but will definitely be using the bikes, and the Accord more for the mpg difference.

I have a half tank and am going to go to fill up today before it gets past $4.00.

I put it 9.377 gal on 04/19/08 @ $3.969 per gal for plus (Midgrade) at the Shell gas station Bernal road in San Jose, CA.

My fam will be driving my wifes honda for trips these days (or just staying home)!

www.gasbuddy.com will give you the cheapest gas prices.

Topped-up my fuel tank in Seattle this morning with Octane 87 $3.72/gal.... When I got back home to BC the price is C$1.30 per liter (US$4.92 per gal) I might start using my bike earlier than usual this year.

I'll be honest here...i have NO clue what gas prices are...i have an idea sure...but i dont pay that close of attention to them

i run regular in both my crown vic and my tacoma...i have a gas card for the crown vic and i have a shell credit card for the tacoma...regardless of what the price is i have to purchase it...im not one for unnecessary driving as it is so it's hard for me to cut back

i have however altered my driving habits and it makes a WORLD of difference...previously i could push about 140-150 miles out of a half a tank of gas and could get to 225-250 before i got nervous about filling up (i HATE having less than half a tank)

After "re-learning" how to drive...i rarely do over 70 mph...my rpms almost never get past the 2000 mark

i can push 200 miles out of a half a tank like this...and im running a 4wd with 500lbs of extra steel and mud tires

and well...the crown vic...well the taxpayers pay for that gas and i use it to keep them safe...

Now before you read this don't get me wrong I would love to still be paying $2 a gallon but in all actuality it's really not that expensive. If you look at the prices of gasoline and compare it to the average income of an american you will see that we are actually paying almost half of what we would have in the 80s given the current ratios. We have all become accustomed to being able to buy extra things and put extra toys on our Tacos. If we remember how it was in the 80s or even the 90s we probably didn't drive as much and didn't have all the cool toys that we have now. Seriously look at what you have and if you (or your parents) would have been taking some of the extra money to buy or if it really was just going into the gas tank. Our incomes are way up, it's only natural that eventually the prices of fuel would do the same.
