Are they comming off a steel wheel or alloy wheels ? I think there is a difference between the two.

08 but im pretty the year doesn't matter because its for the rims the sensors just send out a signal to the car about your tire pressure.

What should matter is how much "use" the sensors have seen, which translates into how much battery life the sensor still has. An '08 with 10,000 miles will have sensors with more battery life than a sensor from an '08 with 100,000 miles.

really? i thought it was "time". the TPSM dont turn off with the ignition..the batteries are being drained all the time. i cant see how mileage comes into play.

I've been told that they "go to sleep" and reactivate when the tire moves.
But that does not explain how the '08 ('09?) and older spares "wake up"
Could be a fairly sensitive motion detector to wake them up.

But ya... they are powered by a lithium button cell. Used to be a 5 year life on them in low-current applications, but they have improved and I've had some last for 10 years (but go figure, my Lojack Early Warning transponder takes a shit in a year)
I have an '08 with 110k on it and I'm just waiting for the light to come on.
Those batteries are already pushing 7 years old (truck was built in '07)
