This is my first post to TW :) but I didnt know where the appropriate thread should be asked so I winged it. Anways:

I've just mounted some goodyear wrangler duratracs in 265/75r16 on level 8 mk6 with a -10 offset (they have about 4 inches of backspace) and a set of 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers (from my stock 17 inch wheel setup).

This set up is causing some MAJOR rubbing. I removed the front mudflaps and went ahead and trimmed where anything was rubbing.... and then found that the tire is smacking my cab mounts.

Any ways I can run this set up (without removing the front spacers) and not have to do a cab mount chop? A one inch lift? Maybe two?

Those wheel spacers are prob causing you to rub the cab mount. Do you have the spacers just to get a wider stance? If you really want that combo you have, I don't believe a lift will help, you're gonna need to do the CMC and plastic cutting. If you don't want to do that then take the spacers off, if you don't want to do that, get a different wheel, if you don't want to do that, then turn up the radio

And welcome to TW, hopefully others will chime in and offer there opinions.

I had 265/75r16 Duratracs on stock wheels and couldn't make them rub if I tried.

I originally had the wheel spacers because my stock wheels and tires would rub near full lock. I kept them on because that wide stance was :D But I went ahead and pulled off the wheel spacers to see if that was the issue and it turns out they dont rub anymore ):

    Thanks for the input!

I was going to say in my other post, but this is my opinion. I think the stance looks great right now and that I think any wider would look like you have 10" wide rims. Its on the verge of being too wide now but I really like the stance that the -10 or 4" backspace gives.

Sorry for digging up an old thread! I have a '12 DCLB TRD Sport with stock suspension. I just ordered some P265/75R16 Cooper Discoverer ATP from DTD for $444-$70rebate, so a great deal!

Here's my question.. I really like the gunmetal Level 8 MK6's that are offered in 16x8 but with the -10 offset and 4.5" backspacing, I'm nervous that these tires will rub on the flaps or something else? I want to make sure that there are no issues on/off road. If these won't work 100%, I don't want to spend that much money although they are a great deal.

For anyone that has these size tires and wheels on stock suspension, what kind of issues do you have, if any, and do you think it's worth it?

Tires are on their way so I am getting anxious wanting to pick out the wheels :) If anyone else has any similar rims that they'd like to recommend, I'd really appreciate it! I was originally looking at the Ultra Mavericks but I am starting to like the gunmetal options and simpler wheels. My truck is Nautical Blue btw. Thanks!

I just put on 265/75/16 hankook atm's and 16 x 8.5 -12 level 8 guardians on stock suspension with no issues at all. Doesn't seem close to rubbing unless you would stuff the front and it hits the fender lip.

Update: I bit the bullet and bought the 16x8 gunmetal MK6s with 0 offset! They're going on P265/75R16 Cooper Discoverer ATPs. After talking with a few Taco owners and some people at DTD, I don't think I'll have any problems. Only possible issue I foresee is rubbing on the front flaps (small/large ones) in reverse at full lock over a bump. If this happens, I'll just remove the flaps and call it a day. Here's the ones I purchased: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/d...2012&pc=16138&counter=2&wd=16&rw=8&vid=021439

Use this website to calculate the fit. I personally like the look of the -12 stance.

I thought you needed at least a 17" Rim on a TRD Sport because Brake caliper is larger then a SR5 & TRD OffRoad

Awesome, checking the link out now! Thanks. I like the wide stance of the large offset but I am nervous of rubbing and don't want to run into any problems down the road.. I don't know 100% that the 0 offset would even clear everything with the Discoverer ATPs.

It seems like people have been putting 16" wheels on Sports without issues but thanks for bringing that up.
