Is it totaled??

Avoided a drunk coming head on into my lane by plowing into a parked car. Oh well. Still starts and runs and shifts. No airbag deployment. I'm fine. Minor bruises. Guess that 5star front end crash ratting ain't no joke.

Anyone know if they account other damage into it? My roof got stomped after Superbowl and is pretty washboarded.

 

Glad your ok, doesn't look like the framed is f*d, so I doubt it's totaled!

 

That Cadillac is totaled. As far as the frame looks from the pics maybe not. Its hard to tell these trucks hold their value to so well it might not be totaled.

 

Surprised the airbags didn't deploy. Glad you're alright. Did they catch the drunk driver?

+1 on the airbags! I had a crash that was similar in damage to that. Ended up being 22k in damage and they totaled it. Glad you're okay!

Edit: my airbags deployed though. That may save you from having it totaled.

 

did you have the spiral cable recall done?

 

doesnt look too bad. we put a front clip on an 05 prerunner a few years ago at my shop. both aprons, dash, bags, and everything forward of that and didnt kill it. frame looks fine from the pics.

are they putting you at fault for the accident?

Drunk just kept driving away.

It will be close my 09 dcsb had 14.5k in damage and they fixed it time to upgrade to some bumpers what ran up the bill on mine was that it got into the pass door and cab corner

 

Airbags should have deployed, you might of had a problem with them.
MY wife was in a wreck last November, her car looked about as bad as your truck, airbags deployed.

She was driving a 2 1/2 yr old Altima, about $14,000 in damage.
The car was valued at about $22,000, Ins. company had it repaired, the entire frontend was replaced.
the engine and trans. were fine, just broke the engine cradle.

It took the shop over two months to finish, still fighting with the insurance company on rental car expenses.
We wanted them to total the thing.

 

I'd dump the truck if its not totaled. It will never be right. Glad to hear YOU are ok tho.

I had very similar damage on my 2008 dcsb and it was right on the border of being totaled.

I pushed for a total loss because I knew the truck would never be right again.
