I noticed a lack of perspective about the 6.7" light cannons on this forum so I thought I'd share my experience with them. I'd heard good things about the 4" version but was reluctant to spend so much on lights without more reviews. Chas at TAP Auto Parts offered me an awesome price so I decided to go for it thank you Chas of MRT!!.

You get what you pay for, these things are insane. VisionX advertises 2500' of visible light and I gotta say I believe the claim. I went to Hollister Hills in Norcal and was completely lighting up adjacent hillsides when drove over hill crests. If you're looking for a TON of light then you really can't go wrong here.

My only complaint is the narrow beam of light. For any distance closer than about 50 yards you just get two separate brightass circles. If I can find a way to widen the beams on these lights they'd be perfect. I'll post a vid soon.

Seriously, though, contact Chas of MRT if you want to buy these he'll give you a good deal.

What's the advantage of one color flood cover vs another vs clear?

Thanks for the review! I really appreciate. Lets see some pics of how you mounted them when you get a chance

I got your PM and will respond but I wanted to answer the question above.

The different lens options change the beam pattern to a degree. Here is a good video showing the options by some of the offroad homies in Norway show the different beam patterns.

As far as the colors go, yellow is designed for fog & dust conditions, the blue is for snow & the red is for dust and protecting night vision.

What advantage does the clear cover have?

Why would anyone need to see 2500' away in the dark?

Clear plain: Impact resistance, especially if rallying behind other vehicles on a rocky/dirt road. Do you want to replace a $35 cover, or the glass in the housing?

Clear beam adjuster: same as above, but it changes the beam from a long spot to a more broad "euro flood" pattern.
