I don't have facebook so I can't see any of those pictures, unfortunately.

Yeah, quads are a blast out there.
My buddy is coming along with his yellow rmz 250.
Ive thought about getting rid of my yfz too. I really only ride it at silver lake.
Thought about selling it and putting all the money into suspension parts for the taco!!!

I hope everyone had a good time at Silver Lake. I did except we broke alot of trucks. My truck even cam home minus a rear driveshaft. Front wheel drive around the dunes is alittle scary in my truck. I think I got more air than anyone in the Raptor club that showed up sunday though.

Nielsen23 sorry I didn't get a chance to give you a ride. I'm sure there will be other opportunities this summer. This trip just ended up being alittle crazy. The total breakages is somewhere around 8 trucks.

There's always truck casualties. Don't sweat it!

Our trip got crazy too, it seemed like everyone came out to play once the fog was gone. Lots of people that thought they owned the dunes. It was a fun trip nonetheless!

First time ever that my truck had to be worked on at the dunes. I did just pull the rear driveshaft and keep going, but still hurt my pride alittle that I broke something. I guess it was just a Ujoint.

Did you get another one. You are going to need to get a bigger truck.

Yes, we adopted him from a family that I believe was NOT taking proper care of him. He has scabs, very thin, and lost hair. He even cowers when a dog toy gets tossed at him. But our older pup has been very good with him and things are already improving after a few days.

This pup is going to be HUGE. 2 years old and you can see the size difference already from our 4 year old. I'm thinking a carpeted camper shell. I'd love to make this an excuse for a Tundra lol

I did see a bunch of hoods open on the long travel boys there. There's going to be something that will break after enough stress. It looked like most of them were having fun, except some of the 2WD guys that couldn't make it up test
I saw you made it up there no problem

Mostly transmissions that broke but some driveshaft stuff also. Going from the wet hardpack to the soft and vice versa is just hard on things.

I won't give up my 4 wheel drive, but that also limits the amount of travel I can get out of my front end. I will probably get a front kit soon but after I will still be disappointed after getting into a beamed truck.

I know the post above you with the website link is a pretty cool place to go wheel. And I believe there are camp sites somewhere around the area there. Might be worth checking out. Not sure how worth the drive anything on the west side would be. Except silver lake sand dunes.

I would agree with the Silver Lake Sand Dunes comment. I would reccommend getting up there early. Depending on the day, the line to get in can get pretty long. Once you are in it is a blast. There are some campgrounds near by that you can book for a couple nights also.

I've been twice and will be going again in September. Other than that, you might be able to find the random two track here and there. You're going to have to go north of Clare for that though.

Anyone want my stock exhaust? I ordered the american thunder kit which should show up tomorrow. I'm living in a smaller apartment and really don't have anywhere to keep the stock exhaust, so if someone wants it let me know. Located in Ann Arbor

Silver lake is coming up again. We will be up there 9/5, 9/6, 9/7. Not sure if my taco will be going but it will be a fun trip all the same.

Hmm. I should see if I am working. We could at least hang around the beach and pop the RTT. I haven't been there in ages!

That would be very cool. There will be a few of the other guys from here along with some of my Jeep buddies mainly. I am still waiting on parts for the truck so if it isn't ready I will be rocking one of my Grandcherokees. Now its just a matter of convincing the wife that she would rather have the little jeep on the dunes so I can tear around in the big one :D.

We camp at the silver lake resort and campground if you want to hangout for the weekend. Saturday is always the main day. We setup at the beach and hangout and run around all day. Always lots of fun and a good group of people to hang out with.

    J**ps? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDWU2SR27g4

j/k. If I am not working it may happen. There usually openings at the campground? Otherwise we will just find somewhere and disperse camp (tough to beat the price!).That might be the one my co-worker keeps his massive home away from home at. If it is, I know he said it is quiet around there at night (which is fine by me, quiet beers around the fire!).

The thing about Jeeps is that you need 2 so you always have one to use. Toyota is turning mainly into a dune truck and the big jeep is for collecting body damage on the trails.

Unfortunately for the first time I broke the Toyota more than I can fix on short notice. I am changing to a spring under pack and can get the setup done as long as they actually show up.

After Labor day the campground usually isn't full.

Anyone interested for some Trail Ready beadlocks?
They are the real deal, the only reason im getting rid of them is because I sold my Tacoma and bought a Tundra for towing me and my dads racebikes.
I bought these as project rims. They are missing most of the bolts that hold the beadlock onto the rim, but you can get a brand new set of nuts and bolts for 7 dollars a rim. They could also use a new paint job.
Im willing to meet you, hence why I posted this in the Michigan Tacomas.
Im looking for 700 bucks or OBO, I just need these things gone, im trying to help my fellow Toyota drivers by giving you guys a smoking deal!
If anyone is interested you can either PM me or for a faster response you can text me. 231-392-6934 My name is Nick.
