Brake Pedal Not Returning

When pressing on the brake pedal it does not return easily (see video). What is causing it?

Do you have a broken return spring? Or perhaps the master cylinder is bad? Check to make sure there isn't any mechanical problem preventing the pedal from returning first. Then start looking at the master cylinder...

 

Where will I find the return spring? It does still return part way.

 

Does the pedal feel spongy like there is air in the brake line? Does the pedal go to the floor when pressed?


Edit: Never mind, saw your video. Seems like its catching on something

 

Look underneath the dash and find the brake pedal. Follow the pedal shaft upwards and you will eventually come to a spring. Make sure it's connected properly and not caught on something. Also make sure it's not broken. If that's intact, I'd move to the master cylinder and start checking that out...
