I have some questions on an install of 5100's on a 2006 2WD Prerunner Access Cab.

Bought my son new wheels, tires and lift for his 21rst birthday. We installed the rear first thing morning with no issues. Had some problems on the front.

I initially set the 5100's at 2.5 and could not get the lower strut mount into the bracket. I pulled it back off and changed it to the 1.75 setting. Had a hell of time getting this mounted, but it went in. I did the same setting on the other side and got it mounted.

Installed the tires and sat the truck back on the ground. I ended up with 3" of lift on the front end. I insured that the springs were seated correctly when I put the strut assembly together. I started with a center of hub to fender measurement of 20.25" and ended up with 23.25", so a full 3". I do not quite understand this unless it is due to the truck being so much lighter with it a 4 cyl 2wd access cab.

I do not want to run ACU's to correct the alignment so I was trying to keep it under or 2.5" lift.

Anyone have any experience with this setup?

I searched for the last hour and found limited mixed information. Mostly from people making recommendations and no actual data from someone with this setup.

I plan on pulling it back apart in the morning and changing to the 0.85 setting and see if this puts us at 2.5" of lift. Might just do one side and see what we get before doing the other.

Spring perch is mounted like the instructions say.

Alignment has nothing to do with ride height. This is not my first time turning a wrench.

take a pic. the only way it could give you that much lift is if its upside down.

Perch was mounted correctly, forgot to take pics once I got it the wheel off.

Discovered the problem. Forgot to install the the rubber bushing and washer on the bottom side of the top plate. It was preloading the springs big time.

The 1.75 setting gives 2.25" of lift on a his truck.
