I'm interested in buying the switchback kit from Chris but was hoping someone had the installation instructions before buying it.

Would someone be willing to post or send me so I can see the instructions before I spend the money?

    Thanks.

I don't have the directions, but I can advise you to save your money.
I have tried the switchback LED and I prefer the incandescent bulbs better. But that is just my preference. I see it more as a novelty that will quickly wear off.
Do you currently have DTRL on your 2014 DC?
Some owners with factory DTRL prefer to disable it. I think that is a good idea.
A good option to replace the DTRL is to use the fog lights as dtrl using the foglight anytime mod. Read up, there are many options available so you don't have to limit your option to the first thing you see.

I doubt there is anything proprietary about the instructions and highly doubt there is a utility patent for it, so anyone can share it if they choose to. There are many ways to wire a dtrl switchback. If you understand circuits it will be pretty straightforward once you have a wiring diagram.

    This is the general idea.

I do have a disable switch but no foglights. I was worried about the incandescent melting problem so that's why I wanted to modify them. Thank you for trying to help.

what year is your truck? if its a 2012+ the DTRL is deeper in the housing and will not melt it.

I 100% agree with Toyota's circuit design to use the bright filament for both DTRL and turn signal. The dim filament is too dim to be useful. The only flaw was component was not able to handle the heat, for which they correctly fixed. Notice they did not fix this by using the dim filament, but instead continue to use the bright filament only and fix the housing. I think toyota did the right thing.

if your truck did not come with fog lights, it should not be too hard to install an aftermarket one. again there are many options. I prefer and use HID over LED for the bulbs.

as nd4 said, you don't need to worry about the dtrl issue on 2014. Some disable it just a matter of preference, and not due to melting issue per se.

Hi everybody! Got a pair of cheap (not very-very cheap :)) white/amber switchback LEDs for my 2012 and cannot get them work right. The only situation I get white light is turning on parking lights while truck off or on with e-brake engaged. When I start the engine and turn off e-brake my LEDs turns amber.
Is there any writeup to get them work properly: white DTRLs and amber turn blinkers?
Maybe someone can share the manual from Chris?

Save yourself some time and effort and just get the V3 Triton switchback kit. Installation is a breeze and you won't need to worry about load resistors.
