I've got the molded bed liner with the storage pockets and electrical outlet. I want a headache rack, but it looks like the install instructions require access to an attachment point that is covered by the liner (assuming it's even under there.) Has anyone dealt with this? I would obviously have to remove the liner or cut a hole in the liner, right? Or is there an easier solution?

edit: It's the magnum headache rack for my 2013

It's not a liner, it's the bed. Composite bed is what you have so whatever you do don't cut a hole.

Not sure about your exact question, but the bed is composite. It's not a liner over the top of metal, it's all plastic/fiber. The outer body panels are metal. Any racks I've ever seen bolt to/thru the tie down 'c' channel around the lip of the bed.

The entire bed is composite , you need a headache rack that mounts via the bed rail system

There is really nothing structural under the plastic bed caps

It looks like this under there , nothing but sheet metal

Well that clears it up for me some lol. Thanks for tolerating my ignorance. Any suggestions on where to buy a headache rack similar to the magnum that will work with my truck? Their website claims that rack does, but I don't see how that can be.

I would email them and ask how the Tacoma model mounts

I was just on thier web site and they list 2004-current model year Tacomas I would think it would come with a bracket that gose into the bed rail.

I've drilled through the bed for some rails in the bottom of the bed but used huge fender washers underneath. Time will tell if this causes issues.
