    Some kind of light for an aftermarket alarm or maybe a switch which they didn't end up utilizing when they had some kind of aftermarket work at the dealer being done to it. Mine is totally blank.

    I would go with this explanation. That is not a normal blank. Any dealer-installed options? Did you follow the wire to see where it leads? I would suspect it isn't part of the standard harness, although it may be tapped into it for something. It does look like a toggle might have been there.

    Can you maybe remove the circular deal from the front of the blank, unscrew or unclip it from the larger plastic piece? Then just leave it hanging inside in case it is important?

    I like this idea...I did have a custom Viper remote start/alarm system installed after I bought the truck...time to Google...!:D

    EDIT : This is what comes with my Viper system..The round end of the wire is the microphone thats wired into a shock sensor microprocessor under the dash..!!!

    Not trying to hi-jack this thread, I don't know what that middle blank is however; I was just about to post a question very similar so here goes:}

    I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma double cab Texas Edition that came with NO Fog-lights installed, looks like it's prewired though found the plug I think on each side just above the place where the fog light blanks are...

    now my question...I poped all three blanks out (see picture) seems like first blank is for Fog Light switch correct? (4 wires) middle unlike the OP is blank and the third blank has some sort of wire plug going into it so What is the third blanK/wires for?

    Also, since I assume the fog lights are prewired I can simply buy the lights, i'd like, relay, and switch and it should be good to go? Or is the relay already installed also?

    Thanks in advance
