If your wheels are still good, you can reuse them by soaking it in acetone, this will break up the glue, then you can glue the new tires to the original wheels. Sometimes it renders the old foams useless, but the new tires normally come with new foams.

So we all planning on meeting over by Miles on Sunday? Miles can you send us a google pin or something?

I read its best to bake them. Acetone will remove the chrome too, but that might be a good thing :p

Acetone is super easy, baking you still have to clean out the old glue residue. And I never tried chrome wheels... I just dunk the whole thing, weigh em down and let it sit overnight, then they fall right off. You can also squeeze the air out of the tire, drawing the acetone in, then it hits the glue from both sides and is faster. I'm just too cheap to throw away good wheels.

Well, guess the tires were a cluster ".....". Possibly didn't get all the holes patched well in a tire or 2, as it seems like when I turn it goes flat and not holding the air. Can play around more, but at least the new tires are coming in on Friday.

At least the half shaft install worked..

The wheels should have vent holes anyway. Never gonna be airtight. maybe foam is no good?

Maybe.. on turns, I can hear at least one of the tires flapping and can see the side wall scrunched.

Miles- figure out which park we going to??

Now that I think about it, I think they use soft foam and tires to make it better for crawling. You want good tire wrap when on the rocks. I'm pretty sure my sidewalls get a little squashed and wrinkly on the road.

Well I'm still waiting on bearings. They say they will be here Saturday, but who knows. Savage is pretty much 90% back together, just need the last few bearings.

Just in case I have been tuning up the 2wd. I put my big motor/ESC back in and regeared. Put a little limited slip diff fluid in. Swapped out the old hinge pins for some spares I had lying around. Rebuilt the shocks with thicker oil. Went from 15wt all around to 25wt up front, and 30wt out back. Also oiled all the bearings, rebuilt the transmission, stretched the wheelbase to its longest, put in a new front brace (the one I broke last weekend), and replaced some stripped out screws.

Can you tell it's been 2 years since I rebuilt these shocks :D

    image-741_e20d6131b47a2b56c6033a0090861b386eac3e07.jpg

Still could use some new o-rings, but I'm fresh out. Next rebuild for sure..

    Oh slacking Miles :p

Anywhere is fine with me. Just let me know where it is cause I'm probably gonna get lost out that far.

So far I got me, Miles, Neil, Kaleo, Ron, and Phil. Anybody else? Ivan, Ryan, Brandon???
