Went to the dealership and they said a new one is going to be $250ish + $55 to re-program it!

Where can I find an OEM remote door lock for less? Don't want some ebay knockoff...

    Thanks,

    Jay

I would tell the dealer to go pound sand.
You can find these things at plenty of websites for much less.

I got one on Amazon for less than $25 I think. All you need is a little patience and a couple of tries to program it. One push unlocks drivers door, push twice to unlock all doors.

I took the laptop out and sat it in the passenger seat, you will want the instructions close. I've had it for 6 months with no problems.

    I used these instructions.

I just sold mine for $25 each. Programming is a cinch, I deprogrammed the remotes from my system to make my life easier.

Post up a WTB and I'm certain someone who has upgraded to an aftermarket alarm (or added one for that matter...thanks for being cheap, Toyota) will gladly sell you theirs for significantly less.

Hi jaymac10, did you manage to get a key fob shipped to Canada? My truck only came with one fob and it quit working last week. I replaced the battery and the fob still didn't work. I even tried to reprogram the truck with the fob and fresh battery - nothing. The dealer wants $250 and Amazon.com won't ship to Canada. I am weary of using ebay - most of the key fob sellers don't seem to sell to Canada either.

I have a remote that I can sell from my 2015. It came with two, but I also have an aftermarket security system in it with electric start. So I have two remote from that as well

A quick update - When I posted this, I had spaced out and wasn't thinking about how my Mom is spending three months in Florida this winter. I ordered two fobs for $37.95 from Amazon.com and had them shipped (for free) to my Mom's rental house. I ended up taking a vacation to Florida in February and brought the fobs back home with me. They were easy to program using the instructions provided and I now have two working fobs.

Thank you to Unchained and robotninja for the offer, I hope someone else reads this and is able to take advantage of your win/win help.
