I noticed this switch plate near the OBD port under the driver's side dash (on the left where the little cutout is at the bottom of the dash). It looks factory, but I can't figure out what it does, not wasting a lot of time on it, just figured somebody here would know. Disregard the jumper in the ODB port, I was checking the trans fluid level after a full flush.

Two switches, a toggle on/off, and a small black momentary. The toggle is set to on and has been as long as I've owned the truck (6 years, second owner). Only aftermarket equipment on the truck is a dealer installed remote start put in when sold new. Truck is a 2006 4DR LB, 4WD, TRD SPORT. Has factory tow package.

    Thanks y'all.

Definitely not factory. The toggle may be a kill switch of some sorts. Flip it to off and try to start the truck. I have no idea what the momentary could possibly be for.

Haven't chased the wires, but I'm guessing this has to be for the remote start. Based on some installation instructions I just found the toggle would disable the unit and the momentary would be for programming. I don't know where the box is mounted, must be up under the dash.

By valet switch, does it have any other function than disabling the remote start?
