I am putting a 3" All Pro Standard leaf pack w/ Icon RR +2 shocks in the rear w/ the All Pro flip kit. I didn't order the flip kit with pre drilled holes and would like to attach the bumpstops to the top mount. What length bump do I need or need to cut it down too? Its on a 2014 Sport DCSB 4x4 if that's needed.

Thanks for that thread. Yeah that sounds perfect how to measure it but would be nice if someone knew the exact inches of the bump stop so I can go ahead and purchase and cut the bump. Don't want to order a 2 1/2 when I need a 4 1/2 either.

well...you're in luck haha, that's just what I got done doing to mine lol

heres what my rear bupstop setup is atm, im using my old Rough Country Ubolts since I wasnt able to put on the Ubolt flip yet
    [IMG]

heres my shock measurment, I have a 10" shock and 5" is showing, so I have 5" of uptravel
    [IMG]

excuse the slightly crooked tape measure lol, but from where the bumpstop is mounted at and to the strike plate up top, is about 7 1/2" - 7 5/8" by the looks of it
    [IMG]

and the factory bumpstop is about 3" tall
    [IMG]

so essentially, I have 5" of uptravel and base to strike plate is 7.5", so 7.5 - 5 = 2.5, so I would need at minimum a bumpstop that compresses to 2.5". I would still like to get the daystar 4.5" bumpstops to get a better ride quality when I do hit the bumpstops

Perfect thanks for that man!! And what the hell ordered my All Pro Leafs 2 weeks ago they never gave me a lead time which I wasn't aware they had to wait for them to come in. I thought they would ship in a few days but no they still haven't gotten them in. So who the hell knows when those will be shipped and at my house. Why the hell does everything take so long to get in and ship? Does all pro not keep them in stock!!!!???

nice, thats the 2.5" bumpstop? im thinking I should still go with the 4.5" one, doesnt look like you have as much space between the plate and the strike plate up top as I do or maybe its just how it looks lol

    I have a few mods
so with mine, I have about 7.5" from the strike plate to the mounting area for the bumpstop then I also have 5" of my shock showing, so would it be fine if I went with the 3" one you linked, or would it be better to get the 4.5" one from daystar, im thinking with how much travel my shocks have and how much space there is between mounting and the strike plate up top that the 4.5s would be better

I like those 4.5 but I think I flex to much for those and I wouldnt want them limiting me when im flexing. It just depends on what you use them for. I got mine to keep the leafs off the frame. I didnt get them for a comfy ride.

Bump stop length is highly dependent on the collapse length of the shock and not shock travel. If running longer than factory shocks and using the factory upper shock mounts, collapse length NEEDs to be considered.

Though the pack thickness and the thickness of the ubolt flip plate will allow for a longer collapse length shock, in a lot of cases you will still need longer bumps to prevent full collapse and possible shock damage.

Good to know. But if I ran the 4.5s I would have about 2 inches before hitting the stops.

my collapsed length on my shocks is 16.10" but what exactly does that have to do with the bumpstop length?
