After 31 months and 24,978 miles later, I finally had to get rid of the original OEM Dunlap Grand Trek AT/20 All-Season tires. Since the get go my 2012 Tacoma SR5 4cyl 4x4 rode like crap. The steering wheel always had a bad vibration in it, rode ruff, etc. I tried tire rotations, balancing, and front end alignment tracking this monster down. All money down the toilet due to it was just the original OEM tires.

So today I had enough and bought the Michelin LTX M/S2 Light Truck tires. Size was P245/75R/16. What a difference. Was going to purchase an All-Terrain tire but couldn't justify them since I've done zero off roading. Truck is mainly just a winter vehicle since it sits in summer months other than light hauling. In winter months short jaunts to work on inclement days and 250 mile highway trips to family farm in southern Ohio. The OEM tires did just fine this horrid winter of 2013/2014 so I knew All-Terrain were not needed for me.

Give these tires a look if your driving habits are like mine. Glad I did!

After 70K on my MS2's, I can say they are the best tires I have ever had. At first, I didn't like the way they looked by they perform so well. They honestly still look like new and I probably have another 30K on them. So smooth and quiet. Very good in rain and decent on forest roads. I will most def. run them again!

I bought the LTX AT/2 this time around for grins. Like them just as well.

Had 118,000 miles on a set when I sold my Ranger. The tread on those was still good.

I've never had any more difficulty on any terrain than those who were with me on knobby sidewall tires.

Love them! Even load range E rides like a dream.

They will be my next tire for sure. I've heard and read nothing but great things about them.

Thanks guys for the thumbs up on these Michelin's. It would of been "cool" to of purchased an All-Terrain tire, but my most aggressive off roading ever was following an oil skidder mud road once. Truck and All-Season OEM tires did fine. I guess the 4-wheeling capabilities of the Tacoma speaks for itself.

Just got M/S2's yesterday, and love them. Was debating between the AT's and the M/S2's, but went with the M/S2's for the same reason made by the OP. Almost zero off-roading.

The profile of the M/S2 tires are more aggressive looking that the OEM Bridgestone Dueler HT's, so it does give the truck a bit more an off road look.

The ride on the Michelin's made it feel like a new truck again compared to my well worn (75K miles) Bridgestone's.

Glad you like them. My truck rides better than new now. So far great in rain, will have to wait until winter for snow report. :)

I got 125k on my first gen Taco on these tires, and I've got ~40k on the set on my wife's Traverse. Best highway tread tire on the market when properly applied, IMO
