Anyone here run 235/65r15 or 235/65r6 or similar on a 4banger Tacoma?
I've been researching for a while and i really wanted to invest on some tires. My truck looks pretty silly with the 215's and i wanna change the look. Any help?

    I'll assume you are 2wd?

Sorry man I don't have them on quite yet. But as soon as I do I'll stick some pics up on here. Search cause there is a thread on that tire size with plenty of pics of guys running them with all types of lift

I combined larger lighter wider 16x7 alloy wheels with wider lower aspect ratio 235/60 tires on my 2.7 5 lug street Taco... and the truck rides really smooth and corners great. :)

This combination is nice and wide, but yet it's within one percent of the stock wheel diameter so the speedometer and odometer retain their factory accuracy.

Yes I do. I have the sr5 package so the fenders on the wheel wells are making it look silly.

I run 33x12.50x15 on my 4-banger with 1" body lift and 5100's all around. Handles and rides great.

Sure. :) I'll take one tomorrow. Even though the wheels are wider than stock, they're +35 offset so they tuck nicely inside the stock fenders without needing to add flares. I didn't go crazy with really big wheels and super low aspect tires, because when you go below 60 you can't get any long lasting, high mileage, low rolling resistance tires. I'm running Yokohama YK 580 tires. 580 is the tread wear number which is relatively high with a 60,000 mile warranty.

This setup is different from most all of the other Tacos because mine is a street driven work truck that never sees dirt.

    Here's the pics. :)
The tires are nice and wide without increasing the overall wheel diameter. This keeps the centers of the wheels relatively close to the ground for good handling in the corners.

As you can see in the last photo, the edge of the tire lines up perfectly with the outer edge of the wheel well.
