My 06 Taco TRD Pre-runner 2wd 4dr has a vibration humm that can be heard and felt in the steering wheel starts around 45-50 mph. On the highway steering straight or off to the left it happens. Steer off center to the right it stops. Tires are not wearing. jacked up the front and the wheel bearings seem tight with no play. Anyone experience this problem.

I had the growling noise from right front and replaced wheel bearing. Noise gone. Last month left front started growling, turning wheel caused noise to disappear just as it did for the right front. Replaced bearing and noise gone. Few weeks ago left front wheel started to vibrate. Lugs had loosened, 2 studs broke off. Towed home and needed vehicle so I put old bearing back on until I could replace studs. No growling noise with old bearing on!! The bearing is bad because I can feel sloppiness. Don't know why there's no growling noise. It was loud and getting louder before replacement.

Thanks. I am going to replace the bearings on both sides. 119K miles so could be.

Having a problem getting the small aluminum hub dust cover off that covers the hub center bolt. Tried heating the hub and tried PB blaster. Trying not to destroy it if I don't need to.
Also is the hub and rotor one piece? Worked on a 4 runner one time that was a 2 piece.

Rockauto shows it as a 2 piece. Now where is that BF hammer.

small dust cover off....no center bolt. Nice. There appears to be a large dust cover on the back side of the hub. Saga continues.

Well, the rotor was rusted on bad. Unable to remove it. Too old to put up with this bs.
Went to Orielly's and bought a hub bearing for $104. Took the truck and bearing to Toyota. $290 later its fixed. They had a heck of a time getting it apart.
It was the drivers side front bearing.
    Job done.
