Just installed 2" aal and 5100 set to 1.75". Did not do the alignment yet because I will be getting new tires soon. When I hit bumps at around 8 - 10 mph it sounds like a metal toolbox is bouncing in my bed. Also when I turn it feel a little choppy and the tires feel like it's skipping a little. Is this because of the alignment not being done yet? Or because it did not settle yet?

Stock shocks are your issue.... the rears even with the stock 3+1 leaf pack top out REAL hard. get some good shocks in the rear and you will be good.

What AAL did you go with?

Aal from top gun customz. The longer ones. And that's a good point with old rear shocks

Will anything get damaged other than tire wear if I wait a few weeks to get alignment?

Yes. You could blow out your shocks. They are prob stretching there limits already.
Also if you havnt installed a longer bpv bracket, that could lead to some trouble.
You need to get some extended shocks.

Edit: You will be fine without the allignment for a couple weeks, but I wouldnt push it.

I have new 5100s in the front. But the rear still has stock shocks with the aal. Hopefully I'll get new ones soon.

I was driving it to work today and it vibrates a little when accelerating from dead stop

Your truck looks nice , I got the same parts ready to install but only 1.5 add a leaf , I'm afraid I'm gonna run into the same issues your having , prolly gonna wait to get the rear shocks first to do it all at once ...

Thanks. I think it's the stiffness of the aal and the fact that the old shocks are stretched that's making the tires feel a little choppy at take off. I'm going to try and lower the tire pressure and see if there's any difference.

    2nd gens done have a BPV .....

believe me its your stock shocks. like stated even on my stock leaf pack they would top out hard. switched to OME N182's which are better than the 5100's in terms of travel and extended length and no harsh top out any more.
