This is my First sas. This is the angle under it's own weight. The spring is almost flat so the angle won't increase much more

    Is this a major problem?u4ehune7_affd136fe46f90cfdf667c1aeaf93dc5905dad21.jpg

Im no SAS expert when it comes to lining it all up, but if your leafs are flat maybe they are the problem.

    God thats a tiny shackle

the hangers are frenched into the frame, so if you compress too much its going to smack the frame right?

How much do you have from ride height to full bump?

I honestly dont think its going to swing that much to be a huge deal. but as we can see, i dont know shit about shackle hanger placement

also, i dont think anyone can beat me on "too much shackle angle" pretty big whoops on my part. and no, it did not stay like this

The shackle defiantly won't go far enough to ever hit anything. I just don't want it to ride like shit

I'm sure I could add a lead and it would be perfect however the front height matches the rear as it is

The flatter the shackle the smoother it rides, so it will be a fine ride.
Any idea what your wheel travel is?

45* is what they say is optimal. IF your springs are near flat i would not worry about it.

This reminds me i have to re do my rear shackle angle (too vertical rides like crap)

personally I think you have some shitty leafs.

but the 45 degree angle looks fine

A longer shackle would make the angle more vertical (and offer a slightly stiffer ride)

and then I realized your front hangers are only tacked on.

Yea the leafs are definitely saggy.
I could move the front hanger forward. But I think that might cause the shackle to go inverted when axle droops. Or if I put another leaf in the future

Longer shackle isn't really a option. Here is what I have e3ubataz_bb1e9cb6cbee75396471396482836c8d1a3e82ac.jpg

The angle looks good, but like stated your gonna need some leafs. Shackle angle helps the ride a whole lot, but it'll never ride good if you hitting bump stops all the time!

Build some longer shackles! Those wouldn't be hard to make even if they are bent in the middle like that.

And again your shackle angle is near perfect. You definitely don't need to move the hanger.
